I remember an interview with Jeff Lynne about how much control the studio exec's for Xanadu had while he was recording the song all over the world down to the 6 drum beats that you here at the end of the song they needed 6 for the word X A N A D U and when that is hit in the movie the lights for xanadu light up. can you imagine telling Jeff lynne in a recording studio " Hey I want this amount of drums hit at this time in your song" it was so much control that is one of the reasons why he never went back to recording for movies
